UpSkillZone

Commercial terms — UpSkillZone

Tuition, refund window, mentor pay, employer take-rate.

UpSkillZone charges three things and only three things: tuition from learners, a take-rate from employers on signed hire attestations, and nothing from the mentor network — mentors are paid by us. The numbers below are the entire commercial model. There is no enterprise tier, no negotiated discount, and no line-item that is not on this page.

Learner tuition

By region of residence

Region tierTuitionRefund windowNote
US / EU / AU / SG / UAE$4,500 USD14 daysPer cohort. Billed at enrolment.
India₹95,000 INR14 daysPer cohort. Billed at enrolment.
OtherBy request14 daysRegion-of-residence pricing on application.

Region is determined by country of residence at enrolment, not by IP. Amounts exclude any taxes your jurisdiction may impose. Refund window runs from the enrolment-billing timestamp; see refund & outcome credit for the full mechanism.

Refund window & outcome credit

Two clauses, no fine print

Clause 1 — Walk-away refund

14 days · 100% refund

Withdraw within 14 days of enrolment billing and we refund the full tuition to your original payment method, no questions, no exit interview. After day 14, tuition is non-refundable except via the outcome credit clause below.

Clause 2 — Outcome credit

90 days · refund or credit

If a role obtained through a UpSkillZone hire attestation fails to stick within 90 days, you become eligible for a tuition refund (to the original payment method, up to the tuition paid for the cohort that produced the matched credential) or, at your election, a credit against a future cohort within 24 months.

Exclusions — read these

Resignations, learner-initiated role changes, and terminations for cause do not trigger the outcome credit clause. The structured exclusions, processing window, and pro-rata mechanics on the employer take-rate are documented in REFUND_POLICY.md. The legal mechanism is set out in Terms of service §3.

Mentor pay

Per review · monthly · T+15

Mentors are paid per review, not per hour and not per retainer. Calibrated mentors (Cohen's kappa ≥ 0.85) receive a 15% multiplier; payouts run monthly on a T+15 schedule.

ArtifactPer reviewCadence
Day Twin review$80 / ₹3,000Per review
Live Incident review$120 / ₹4,500Per review
Capstone review$200 / ₹7,500Per review

The complete table — including streak bonuses, re-review pay, and the calibration tiers — lives at /mentors/compensation.

Employer take-rate

12% · annual_total · T+30

Employers pay UpSkillZone 12% of annual_total compensation on every signed HireAttestation attributed to talent_search. The fee is computed against the full first-year compensation package — base salary, signing bonus, and the cash value of equity at the grant’s 409A or last-round price — and is invoiced on T+30 from the role’s documented first day. There is no posting fee, no per-seat licence, and no charge for browsing or filtering the talent search.

Off-platform pipelining of candidates first surfaced through UpSkillZone is treated as circumvention of the take-rate and is enforced under the same hiring terms. The full commercial terms are set out in HIRING_TERMS.md §3.
